According to the BBC, when someone hacks the SEC's X account to make a fake post about Bitcoin they're a "Bitcoin hacker". Unlike the SEC's X account and the BBC itself, Bitcoin has never been hacked.

There's a perception among many that Bitcoin = Scam. Much of this stems from a long-standing false narrative by mainstream media implying Bitcoin is somehow culpable when it comes to criminality. As Bitcoin doesn't sue in the way a corporation would, it makes it an easier target.

That said the one thing Bitcoin does have on its side is as Saylor would put it is that "Bitcoin is a swarm of cyber hornets serving the goddess of wisdom, feeding on the fire of truth, exponentially growing ever smarter, faster, and stronger behind a wall of encrypted energy".

Last year the when BBC data was stolen in a hack the BBC were quick to report this was a "MOVEit hack" if which they were a "victim". Other news outlets weren't so clear/ kind implying the BBC was hacked.
