BCH Mining/Network

Maybe a stupid question, some say theres no such thing…but, who cares lol

Curious as to how BCH works after the split, does it attain to how bitcoin original protocol works with the miners and nodes etc all the same process?

And if so, how decentralised is said network of BCH miners etc

Read a couple books particularly the block size war, although a great read, seems very one sided and narrative focused throughout. Thinking to read Roger Ver’s book. Anyhow off topic.
