Btc cold storage wallet

I use strike to purchase btc and transfer to my ledger nano x frequently. I found out after purchasing my ledger it’s probably the most hated on cold storage wallet because of its history and potential to give up user information.

For anyone that’s transferred their Btc out of ledger can I just buy a trezor, jade, cold card and send use my ledger seed to transfer all my btc into a cold storage wallet I’m more comfortable with? My concern with ledger is once I try to move the coins off of it with ledger live and coinify I’ll fuck something up
