Before 2020, I used to enter incorrect payment references when buying Bitcoin—a common practice at the time; in fact, Binance even has an article about it: https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/detail/360037619471 ("Avoid any mention of cryptocurrency or related phrases in the payment reference/notes"). Instead of "Bitcoin purchase," I would write "music payment." I also traded on the no-KYC platform BitMEX. What should I do with these Bitcoins now? How can I exchange them for euros? Which exchange allows me to complete the Source of Funds (SoF) and Source of Wealth (SoW) verification? How can I use these Bitcoins now? I assume I won't pass compliance checks at any exchange, and no bank will want to accept these funds.
