How scalable is BCH currently?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Specifically, how many transactions fit on one block?

But also, what other roadblocks would BCH face on its path to compete with fiat currency?

The obvious one is that most vendors currently accept fiat currency and don't accept BCH. Another obvious one is that BCH transactions take about 10 minutes to finalize. Imagine swiping your credit card at a gas station and then having to wait 10 minutes before you can leave!

I'm just wondering what other things BCH has as obstacles that prevent it from being more widely used as currency.
