Is Bitcoin a hedge against market crashes?

I've heard that Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation, but what about if the US stock market crashes? The US stock market has wide reaching global effects, and especially with all these firms buying up Bitcoin. If we see a stock market crash, how might that effect Bitcoin?
