Open blockchains. On-chain volume, portability and fungibity
24h period, blockchair.com data
BTC: 3,289,990 BTC (17,7%), median fee $2.68 - a lot of people are priced out, bar only will get higher with adoption
ETH: 10,823,159 ETH (9,5%), median fee $1.15 - same
BCH: 6,854,384 BCH (36,9%), median fee $0.001 - let's think how to make the fee even smaller, we can and we should
Coinjoin on BTC is expensive, tornado.cash on ETH is expensive, CashFusion on BTC is cheap
Wouldn't LN solve BTC's problems? It undermines miners' profitability if successful; for now we see centralization naturally emerge cos liquidity needs to be pulled with geographical AML/KYC risks (state knows where mobile app wallet servers are); bigger the share of hubs less fungible locked BTCs are - so no, LN won't solve BTC's problems
