When Will Bitcoin Growth Begin?

Bitcoin might be setting up for a replay of 2024—back then the crypto went into a long sideways grind from March through November. Right now BTCUSD is sitting right in that same price zone.

That nine‑month consolidation coincided with the Fed holding rates steady for a long stretch, which kept the dollar stable for a year and a half. Then the November rate cut kicked off two things: the dollar weakened against major currencies, and Bitcoin ran to an all‑time high of $126K.

A lot of people will say the rally was all about Trump's election hype, and they're not wrong. The dollar reacts to US presidential elections too. But pull up the historical chart comparing Bitcoin to DXY, and you can't miss the link—when the dollar weakens, crypto pumps.

Good news is, Bitcoin isn't going far below $60K. That's the mining cost floor, and it's held before. But from here we might just chop sideways until the Fed starts cutting rates consistently. And that's not likely to happen while Jerome Powell's still in charge. So don't expect any real BTC upside until at least May—maybe even July.
