Will the suddenly increased price of bitcoin push more new people to use BCH instead?

Bitcoin today hit 18.000 usd, which filled all the holders of bitcoin with enthusiasm but. (Including me), but it's clear that such sudden change will also effect people who're not accustomed to cryptocurrencies and simply look for something to make their life easier. Personally as a developer and a user I prefer more stable and of course cheaper cryptocurrencies for usage. Additionally 18.000 usd is way too much, and even if someone decides to buy smaller amounts of bitcoin, the currency operates almost as a stock, instead of a tool. Which I believe to be the issue with regular users who look for a decentralized peer-to peer currency.

Perhaps BCH now is going to receive these new people. But nothing is for certain, what do you think?
